Veritas Asset Management AG was founded in Zurich in 1993. The initial client base was high net worth individuals and charitable trusts. A London office was opened in 1996 as Veritas Asset Management (UK) Limited and began managing institutional accounts.
The Real Return Group was set up in 2003 as a boutique focused on real return investing. The Real Return Group Limited and Veritas Asset Management merged in 2004.
Veritas Asset Management (UK) Ltd and Veritas Asset Management AG are wholly-owned subsidiaries of The Real Return Group Ltd. A Hong Kong branch of Veritas UK was opened in 2009.
